What about cheat days?

Is it really a good idea to have a cheat day where I can eat whatever I want to one day per week? If so, why?

​It doesn’t matter if you know it as a rest day, cheat day, or recovery day, the purpose of this day is to allow your body time to repair itself.

However, if you eat a lot of junk on your recovery day, your body will become full of sugars, fats, and refined toxins.

This will mean that the following day actually becomes a ‘recover from poor eating’ day.

Unfortunately, recovery from a bad diet can take between 3 and 10 days, during which time your progress will be stunted.

It is therefore important to do whatever you can to speed up your body – stay away from cheat meals altogether.

The best way to recover faster is to take one or two forced rest days every week.

Make sure that these are real rest days by not eating cheat foods which are going to harm your body.

Instead, go for a lot of water and antioxidants combined with protein to rebuild your muscles.
