I started with Phil at StepintoLife Moonee Ponds nearly three years ago at a time when I felt I needed some guidance to improve my running style, pace and core strength. Joining has been the best thing I have done for own fitness. I feel stronger, I’m running quicker than I ever have and am currently training with Phil for a half marathon. Phil motivates, encourages and offers guidance based on his experience with running and strength training. What has come as a welcome surprise to me is the social connection I have found with others interested in staying fit.
Before I joined Step into Life Moonee Ponds four and a half years ago I could run about 4 kilometers. During my first few sessions Phillip taught me how to breath and how to run effectively. Within 6 months i did my first 10km fun run and with his continual guidance and encouragement I had the confidence to enter the 15km Run for the Kids. I continued to do a fun run every couple of months over the past 3 years and just recently completed my first half marathon. Everyone who trains at SIL Moonee Ponds is friendly and supportive - its a great group of people who have different levels of fitness and really enjoy the training and the company. Kay T
I really enjoy training with Phil at Step Into Life. When I first started I could barely run more than 300 metres, but now have a few 10km and 15km fun runs under my belt. My next mission is a half marathon! Training with Phil is great fun and the whole SIL Moonee Ponds group is so supportive and friendly. Having the Maribyrnong River as a backdrop is a nice bonus too. I'd highly recommend it to anyone.
I have been a member for many years and love coming to training. I can lack motivation when exercising on my own, so working with a group is perfect for me. All classes are adaptable for a variety of fitness levels, and importantly for me, no one takes themselves too seriously, ensuring lots of fun and laughter!
I joined Step Into Life MooneePonds two and a half years ago, at a low base of fitness and strength. I found the classes great fun, especially Box Kick, and the fact we were exercising outside made it so much more enjoyable. Philip monitors his classes closely, encouraging each person to work hard at their own level of fitness. My fitness has much improved , I would highly recommend SIL Moonee Ponds to anyone wanting to feel fitter and stronger , while having fun in the process.
